No. The thirty-day trial starts the moment Plan Viewer is launched for the first time on a PC. There's no sign-up, no email, no online check. Every feature is available throughout the trial.
Never. Markups are written to a sidecar .pvm file in the same folder as the PDF. The original PDF is left untouched. Use Export when you need a flattened PDF with markups baked in for sharing.
No activation required. Plan Viewer detects a connected Volanti display via its EDID and unlocks automatically. The trial timer never appears. Updates are pushed alongside the table firmware.
Yes. Activation requires an internet connection at the moment you paste a license key. After that, the license is cached locally and re-validates roughly every 14 days — generous enough for a construction-site connectivity gap.
Yes. Contact support with your key and a brief reason — they can reset an activation if you've hit the per-key install limit. Each key is good for one active install at a time.
The app continues to open and read PDFs, but markup tools are disabled until a license key is entered. Existing sidecar markup files are preserved and become editable again the moment you activate.
